Quiet enough to hear the bolt drop.
Every shot, every barrel.
Loaded to a 1,050 fps ceiling with temperature-stable powder — so your suppressor finally does its job, even on a 100°F day out of a 26″ barrel.

How we keep loads under 1,125 fps
in any weather, any barrel, any lot.
Every row below is a measured number, not a marketing claim. Pulled from the test logs we run before any box leaves the building.
75 fps under the speed of sound at sea level, 70°F. Three times the cushion most subsonic loads run. A hot afternoon, a longer barrel, or a warm lot of powder can’t push it back over the line.
Velocity ceilingvs 1,125 fps speed of sound
Charge weight tolerance, hand-weighed lot-by-lot. Tighter than commodity loaders run by an order of magnitude. Velocity SD inside a box typically lands under 12 fps.
Charge accuracypowder verification
Report reduction with a suppressor on the .308 175gr load. Drops the muzzle event below the threshold where outdoor work without ear protection becomes practical for the shooter and bystanders.
Hearing-safemeasured on can
Same load, same load number, every length. Tested in a 16″ SBR up through a 26″ precision bolt. No special “short-barrel” SKU. The same box runs across your rifle rack.

What you skip when you load Atomic instead.
Every shooter we’ve talked to has lived through one of these.
Most have lived through all four.
The supersonic crack on a 95° afternoon. Commodity subsonic loads run 1,090-1,100 fps — a 25 fps cushion. Walk into Phoenix in July and the round goes supersonic. You bought quiet; you got the crack anyway.
A second rifle just to shoot subsonic. Our .308 drops into the bolt gun in your safe. Swap back to your hunting or match load anytime. Same rifle, same scope, two different velocity envelopes.
Ear damage between shots. A 30-40 dB drop with a can puts the report under 125 dB — the threshold for unprotected outdoor work and the reason your dog can sit next to you on the bench.
Imported components, mystery powder, or bulk shortcuts. American brass. Temperature-stable powder. Match-grade projectiles. Hand-weighed in Phoenix. Nothing on the cheap-and-fast end of the curve.

What you’ll want to know before the first round goes downrange.
Common questions, straight answers.
Will the .223 Subsonic cycle my AR-15?
No. Subsonic .223 doesn’t generate enough gas pressure to cycle a stock AR-15 — it’s a bolt-action or single-shot load.
If you’re shooting a semi-auto and want quiet, the .300 Blackout 220gr Cycling Subsonic is the right answer.
Will the .308 Subsonic cycle my semi-auto?
Bolt guns run it without thinking. AR-10 and M1A platforms generally need an adjustable gas block to cycle subsonic reliably. Reconfirm dope when you switch between subsonic and supersonic — the holdover shift is significant.
Is it really hearing-safe with a can?
With a suppressor, yes. 1,050 fps stays under the 1,125 fps speed-of-sound line, and the 30-40 dB drop puts the report under 125 dB — the threshold for outdoor work without ear protection on the shooter.
What twist rate do I need for the .223 77gr?
1:7 or 1:8 to stabilize a 77gr bullet. Most modern .223 barrels — AR-15 or bolt — ship with 1:7 or 1:8 twist. If you’re running 1:9 or slower, the round won’t stabilize.
Is the brass reloadable?
Yes. New-production boxer-primed brass on every load. Fully reloadable. Reload data available on request from the Phoenix team — reply to the email with your rifle and intended use.
